Pilates Classes

PILATES MAT with Trisha or Heather* (55 minutes)
Beyond video Pilates! We interface the principles of Pilates with a variety of “toys”, e.g., weights, balls, bands, foam rollers, and magic circles. As a unique feature, we also incorporate leg and arm springs (similar to those used on the apparatus) in our mat classes. Classes are open to clients of all levels. Self-moderation is required and modifications are suggested to make moves more supported or more challenging, as needed.

WED 4:30 pm & SUN 6:00 pm (55 minutes)

PILATES APPARATUS with Trisha or Heather* (55 minutes)
2 to 3 clients work simultaneously on the classical Pilates equipment (reformer, trapeze table, wunda chair, high barrel, and spine corrector). Sessions address core strength, joint stability/mobility, trunk stability, spinal flexion/extension/rotation. Modifications are suggested as needed for each individual.

SWING-A-LATES with Trisha or Heather* (55 minutes)
2 to 3 clients work simultaneously applying the principles of Pilates on playground swings hanging from the studio ceiling. Warm up includes actual swinging (unless vertigo is an issue). Swing-a-lates sessions also address core strength, joint stability/mobility, trunk stability, spinal flexion/extension/rotation. Modifications are suggested as needed for each individual.
